People in Hutto, Texas, love their Hippos. Hutto Independent School District is the only district in Texas whose mascot is the hippopotamus. More than 100 large, concrete hippo statues are installed on properties all over this Texas town, and hundreds of hippo figurines decorate desks and bookcases. In fact, there are so many brightly painted hippos in the yards and parking lots of Hutto that it makes the perfect car game.
