Ednabr/Jackson County, Texasbr/29 04.534' N 96 42.601' Wbr/Historical Marker: In 1856 the Rev. Joseph I. Loudermilk (1816-1880) came to Jackson County and organized Enon Baptist Church-- the first church of that faith in the county. He was pastor from that time until his death and was buried here. A five-acre site was given by John and Clarissa Andrews on Oct. 23, 1858, for the church and cemetery. The first interment (1862) was Isaac J. Sheppard.
